While Nathan is inside a German U-Boat, Sully is held hostage by some other people looking for the same statue. When Nathan declines to help the other group find the statue, their leader / boss shoots Sully in the chest. What is the name of the character that shoots Sully?

Ideazon, makers of customizable gaming keyboard known as the Zboard have released a new line of PC gaming peripherals in the UK - including a new keyboard called the MERC Stealth (pictured above) and a laser mouse called REAPER Edge. Both look interesting… I’m expecting review units so expect full views when that time comes. Until then, check out the official press release below.
We’re kicking 2008 off with some rumour busting, and this time they turn out to be true. It’s been rumoured that Warner will be joining the Blu-ray camp exclusively for some time, and today Warner released a statement confirming this. They claim that the move is a “strategic decision focused on the long term and the most direct way to give consumers what they want,” and “the window of opportunity for high-definition DVD could be missed if format confusion continues to linger”. Warner will carry on releasing titles on HD-DVD a short time after the titles Blu-ray release up until May, when HD-DVD support will completely end. Is it game over for HD-DVD? Probably not, but with 70% of the market share it looks like Blu-ray has, and will keep the upper hand for some time. Keep reading for the official press release.

Just a quick one to let you know that the demo of Burnout Paradise is now available on both the PlayStation store and the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo is a small section of Paradise City, with a selection of events to be participated in. The graphics are looking great so far - particularly the crash sequences similar to those of MotorStorm. Online is also functional - you can ‘free burn’ around the city with your mates over the network, although due to router problems I couldn’t get it working. Check out the trailer for the demo below…
While it’s not due until February next year, ABC have released a short trailer for the fourth season of Lost - reportedly screening in cinemas across the US now. Thing is, it’s actually 90% new footage… I’ll leave it upto you to watch, but the spooky ending and a certain character’s appearance makes the two month wait for the season seem a very long time.
The down side of this awesome trailer is the fact that thanks to the writers strike, at the time of writing they’ve only got eight episodes of Season 4 written. Come on, sort yourselves out!
Whats this? No posts in a month?! Okay, so you’re going to get the standard “I’ve been busy” excuse… but thats actually the truth. I’ve been doing alot of work for the Three Speech blog as a freelance, which is the main consumer of time previously spent on here. Aside from that - there’s college work, Red Rant, and it’s also getting close to that time of year where nobody has time to do anything.
I’ve updated the ‘Reviews’ page, which you can access via the link at the top of the blog. It’s got a list of all reviews or previews that I’ve done (on other sites as well as here), and they’re all linked. The most recent one - a preview of PSN title Pain, due early next year on the EU PlayStation store and already available in North America. I’ve got my hands on the upcoming Omega Dawn expansion for Warhawk, so expect a preview of that sometime next week on Three Speech. Also coming up, I’ve managed to secure some Uncharted: Drakes Fortune goodies to give away, so check back early next week to see what you need to do for those.
As you probably know, the recently released Uncharted demo failed to work on consoles outside of the US. Christophe Balestra, Naughty Dog co-president posted on the Playstation Blog about the incident - saying they didn’t realise you could download from the US store from other locations, and they didn’t intend for it to be region locked.
Best part - they’ve updated the demo and it should now work on all consoles. You’ll have to download it again, though.
